Antique Railroad Paperweight Values

Railroads produced paperweights as promotional items for passengers to use on trains and take home, but also produced paperweights for railroad offices as well as to mark special events like promotions, retirements, or service aniversaries. Paperweights may be glass, metal, ceramic, or other materials. Glass paperweights can have wonderful color artwork and railroad logos, while cast metal paperweights can be found as intricate medallions or sculptural forms. Paperweight collecting is a field all its own, but the crossover between railroad enthusiasts and paperweight collectors means that rare paperweights can be worth anywhere from $15 for lower end items and into the hundreds of dollars for hard to find railroads.
